The Role:
This incredible Barnet Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join them in September. Working on a long-term, full-time basis, you will be joining the team to work with students in Year 3. You will be supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. The headteacher is looking for a graduate with a good academic record who is able to ensure students are making excellent progress. If you’re a dedicated and motivated graduate with a passion for education then this could be the ideal job for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
- Support teachers in managing student behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and other staff to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Work with SEN students, following Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting materials as needed.
