We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher for a highly reputable SEN school in Barking and Dagenham. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
