The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the unique needs of SEN students.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide guidance and support to students, helping them build confidence and independence.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN teaching.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for working with students with special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting SEN students’ success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to a diverse range of needs.
