Maths Teacher | Autumn Term Contract

Position Overview:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher Kingston upon Thames to deliver engaging lessons to Years 5, 6, and 8 (with Year 8 pupils working at a Year 9 level). The successful candidate will be expected to prepare lessons, mark work, and attend parents’ evenings. An observed lesson prior to the start of term may also be required.

Working Hours:

• Monday: 8:45am – 1:15pm

• Tuesday: 8:00am – 12:00pm (staff briefing at 8:00am)

• Wednesday: 8:45am – 4:30pm (full day)

• Thursday: 10:00am – 1:15pm (flexibility for 8:00am start if needed)

• Friday: 8:45am – 1:15pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Maths to Years 5, 6, and 8 (at Year 9 level)

• Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons

• Mark student work and provide feedback

• Attend and contribute to parent-teacher meetings

• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school life

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 2 and 3 levels

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Passion for teaching and commitment to pupil progress
