Qualified English Teacher

Riley Personnel is recruiting a qualified English Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in Surrey. We are seeking a dedicated teacher who can deliver engaging English lessons while supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The Role

• Plan and deliver effective English lessons.

• Adapt teaching to meet pupils' individual learning needs.

• Develop pupils' reading, writing, comprehension and communication skills.

• Establish clear classroom routines and expectations.

• Manage behaviour positively and consistently.

• Monitor progress and encourage pupil engagement.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching English, ideally at secondary level.

• Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Can adapt lessons to support pupils with additional needs.

• Is patient, resilient and committed to helping pupils succeed.

Experience in an SEMH school, PRU or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
