A specialist SEN school in Sutton, supporting students aged 7–18, is seeking dedicated and adaptable Qualified Teachers to join its team. There are two opportunities available for teachers who are passionate about supporting students with additional needs and delivering engaging, accessible lessons that promote learning, independence and personal development.
Qualified Teacher for Life Skills Class
The school is looking for a qualified teacher to teach its Life Skills class on a full-time basis until December. You will help students develop essential practical skills, communication, confidence and independence, preparing them for greater independence in everyday life. The successful candidate will need to be patient, organised and confident in adapting lessons to meet individual needs, while maintaining a structured and supportive learning environment.
Qualified PE Teacher
The school is also seeking a qualified PE Teacher who can deliver engaging and inclusive physical education lessons to students with additional needs. Flexibility is essential, as you will need to adapt activities to suit different abilities, respond to changing requirements and encourage participation, teamwork and confidence. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to making physical education accessible to all students.
Both roles require teachers who can build positive relationships with students, work collaboratively with support staff and create a safe, positive learning environment. Experience working within SEN education would be advantageous, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting students with a range of additional needs.
If you are a qualified teacher looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a specialist SEN setting, we would love to hear from you.
