A specialist SEN school in Sutton is looking for dedicated, patient and adaptable Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day classroom support for primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs.
You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities may include supporting pupils with classroom activities, providing one-to-one and small-group assistance, encouraging positive behaviour and helping children develop their confidence, communication and independence.
The school is looking for compassionate and reliable individuals who can adapt to different situations, build positive relationships with pupils and provide consistent support throughout the school day. Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN, particularly within a school or specialist setting, is highly desirable.
Both part-time and full-time positions are available, initially on a short-term or day-to-day basis to meet the school's staffing needs. However, there is potential for the right candidates to secure a longer-term position, depending on the school's requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants seeking flexible work or those looking to develop their experience within a specialist primary education setting.
If you are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive difference to their learning and development, we would love to hear from you.
