SEN Teaching Assistant
A diverse and vibrant primary school in Hackney is seeking a confident and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
- UK classroom experience is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to remain calm, positive and professional in challenging situations.
Desirable Criteria:
- Training in Team Teach, Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton or similar.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.
- Relevant education or support work qualifications.

The Role:
- Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
- Supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH needs, ADHD and communication difficulties.
- Assisting with behaviour management strategies and sensory support.
- Promoting independence, self-esteem and positive learning behaviours.
- Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff.
