A fantastic primary school in Lambeth is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join its team on a full-time basis. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions to help pupils reach their potential.
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those with SEN.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with children in a primary school, nursery, tutoring, childcare, coaching, mentoring, or youth work setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above or equivalent).
We also welcome applications from graduates who have previous experience working with children and are looking to begin a career within education.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
- Experience delivering Literacy or Numeracy interventions.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
- A degree in Education, Psychology, English, Maths, or another relevant subject.
