Riley Personnel is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work at a specialist SEN school in Sutton. These positions will initially be short-term, with the potential to develop into longer-term opportunities depending on the school's requirements and suitability.
We are looking for reliable, patient and proactive individuals with experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs. Previous experience in a school or specialist SEN setting is highly desirable.
The Role

Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Assist with learning, communication, confidence and independence.

Support pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Follow individual learning plans and guidance from teaching staff.

Help maintain a safe, positive and supportive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
The Ideal Candidate

Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

Ideally has worked in a school or specialist education setting.

Is patient, adaptable and confident responding to different needs.

Can follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Is reliable and available to start at short notice.

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupils' welfare.
These roles may suit Teaching Assistants who are available for short-term work and would welcome the possibility of a longer-term placement.
