Riley Personnel is recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a specialist SEMH school in Wandsworth. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

The Role
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Helping pupils manage their emotions and develop positive behaviour
- Building trusting relationships with pupils who may face social or emotional challenges
- Supporting classroom learning and engagement
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence
- Implementing strategies to support behaviour and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Maintaining a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Experience supporting SEMH, behavioural needs or additional learning needs is an advantage
- Patient, calm, resilient and empathetic
- Confident building positive relationships with young people
- Able to respond consistently to challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passionate about helping pupils succeed both academically and personally
