A welcoming and inclusive school in Brent is looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team. Opportunities are available both within mainstream classrooms and within the school's (ARP).

The school is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. While positions are available across different areas of the school, experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable, and candidates should feel confident working with a range of additional needs.

The Role

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • ASAP or September start
  • Supporting pupils in mainstream classrooms and/or within the school's ARP
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Working with children with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs and Learning Difficulties
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN is highly desirable
  • Confident supporting children with additional needs and adapting to different learning requirements
  • Patient, proactive and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
